"Indie Ocean OUT NOW!" |
INDIE OCEAN" hits the stores TODAY January 22. We would like to thank everyone who came to our release concert at MIR, Oslo last friday.
The show was completely sold out and we had a blast! We also hope to see a lot of people at our shows in Lillestrøm (thursday) and Drammen (saturday) this week.

Pål has bought some nice old guitars lately, a '66 Fender Jaguar and a '78 Telecaster Deluxe. You'll probably see him "abuse" these axes on stage after releasing the 2nd album "Indie Ocean". Besides, Pål has just got married - Congrats!
funguson is currently planning to do ONE exclusive show in Oslo in June. More info on that later.

Sorry for the lack of updates! Anyway, Espen and I went to London this week to see two amazing DINOSAUR JR shows @ The Forum.
Such happenings are pure vitamin injections for veteran indie rockers like us, and we realized it's time for another band meeting to finally set a release date for our 2nd
album "Indie Ocean" [which was mixed some months ago]. No, we haven't split up - funguson has just had a short break and will return stronger than ever
with a great new album and loud shows.

We finally start to see an end of the recording process. Our second album Indie Ocean is almost done and it has been an exiting journey
during the last 12 months. We're very happy with the sound that has been put on tape at bubblesound recording studio, and we're really looking forward to present

The upcoming funguson single "The Funniest Thing" [bus007cd] has been mixed by Lars-Erik Westby @ H10 Productions, and mastered by Tom Kvålsvoll @ Strype Audio. Cool b-sides are; "Palindrome" [acoustic version] and a cover - "War of Man" [Neil Young].
Two releaseparties will be held; thursday 3rd of June @ Gamla [Oslo] w/ Debrah, and friday 4th of june @ Baråtti [Strømmen] - Our good friends El Caco and The Landlords will also perform on stage this special evening, so don't miss it!

Hi, sorry for being slow these days... the summer has been really hot and we've been out swimming, at festivals and just hanging around... - But NOW we're ready to get back in business and finish the recordings we started earlier this year. Ok, we haven't been that lazy, cause we've moved all our gear to a new and better (but smaller...) rehearsal place, and also built a 16-track studio there for demo use. Nice!
New press photos were shot last night, and also the cover pictures for our forthcoming release (single, ep or album - time will show...). The new press photos will be posted here as soon as they have been developed.

We've been in the studio for a couple of months recording some brand new stuff, but we're not sure when the new material will be released... That means - a single might come out right after the summer, but it might also be delayed due to economical issues. If no single, you can at least expect an ep (maybe two) this fall, or an album sometime before christmas/early 2004. The new recordings are produced by ourselves and engineered by El Caco drummer Thomas Fredriksen.

Last tuesday and wednesday we shot two music videos in NRK studios for the songs "Sense Illusion Guy"
and "Sensible". Nice promo pics has been taken and we'll use this summer to promote the new album for

Last Saturday (27.05.00) funguson played a non announced concert in Strømmen w/ Miyagi.
It was very fun and many people showed up even this was a secret gig. We also did some cover songs
of Dinosaur Jr that night: "Freak Scene" and "Repulsion".
We also played the Sebadoh song "Careful".
By the way, Espen is 24 years old today... Congrats!!
Pål bought a nice 1962 surf green Fender Jazzmaster the other day and Tom is going on a snowboard tour to Stryn...
